Vocational Assessment
We assess the
vocational rehabilitation potential of an individual based on current medical
conditions and/or work restrictions as well as variables such as age,
education, background, interests, work history, analysis of transferable
skills and work abilities.
Vocational Testing
Testing is
administered and the results interpreted to determine job-related intellectual
capabilities, using academic, aptitude, business personality, interest and/or
intelligence instruments.
Labor Market Surveys
We can identify
specific job opportunities for an injured worker, tailored to the individual's
capabilities and limitations, within an appropriate geographical area.
Retroactive labor market research enables us to determine job availability and
earnings during a specific time period.
Wage Loss Evaluation
Wage Loss
analysis is the procedure which addresses the amount of wages lost by an
individual due to any restrictions that are in place. We also assess and
determine the expected earnings range, that is, what an individual can earn
given his/her transferable skills and work abilities. Expected earnings can
also be assessed for a child or someone who has not been in the
workforce for a significant period of time.
Job Analysis
Job analysis
involves detailed outlining of specific tasks or essential functions to
evaluate which of the former duties an injured worker can still perform upon
return to work. The analysis can cover selected employment positions or an entire
operation.
Job Placement
Job placement
services include identification and assistance in applying for vocational alternatives compatible with an
injured worker's abilities and limitations. Vocational counseling and
job-seeking skills training are also available.
